Combustion Studios (Marin County, CA) is a film and entertainment company co-founded by D.J. Marini and TyRuben Ellingson in 2002. The company's mission is the development of original film, entertainment, and intellectual properties.

D.J. Marini, former General Manager of Lucasfilm Ltd, has been the guiding force behind many successful entertainment projects worldwide. Among his clients are Sony Entertainment, Disney Corp., and Universal Studios. Beyond his duties as Producer on UNEARTHED, Marini managed the execution of the film's many complex special effects.

An established and highly respected conceptual designer, TyRuben Ellingson has helped shape such films as JURASSIC PARK, THE FLINTSTONES, DISCLOSURE, STAR WARS (Special Edition), BLADE II & III, and HELLBOY. Additionally, he was the principal designer of the signature creatures for MIMIC and UNEARTHED.
